Introduced in Germany by Münch & Haufe in 1931 as 'Heidekind'.
Introduced in United States by Howard's California Flowerland in 1934 as 'Heidekind'.
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa, Polyantha, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Coral-pink to deep pink.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 3.25".  Double (17-25 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, armed with thorns / prickles, well-branched.  Wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.
