Origin:
Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (before 1988).
Introduced in Australia by Treloar Roses in 2001 as 'Close Up'.
Introduced by Unknown (New Zealand) in circa 2003 as 'Kirkcaldie'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Apricot or apricot blend.  Salmon pink. Soft orange. Can become cabbagey and have split centres.  Moderate fragrance.  25 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy.  Large, matte, medium green foliage.  

Height: 47" (120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for garden.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
