Origin:
Bred by Félix Guérin (France, 1837).
Introduced in France by Jean-Pierre Vibert in before 1842 as 'Calypso'.
Class:
Damask.  
Bloom:
Light pink, lighter edges.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 3.75".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), cupped-to-flat, ruffled bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  5 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
