Bred by André Delbard-Chabert (1915-2012) (France, 1967).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Laxton & Bunyard Nursery in 1967 as 'Campanile'.
Class:
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Deep pink, fuchsia / magenta shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Rounded buds.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Glossy, bronze-green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.  heat tolerant.  Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. .  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Prune lightly until this rose gets established (about two years), then prune it back by about a third..  Remove unproductive wood every third year or so.
