Bloom:
Cream, ages to white . Strong fragrance. up to 150 petals. Average diameter 3". Medium, very full (41+ petals), in large clusters, button-eye, flat bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Arching, climbing, few or no prickles/thorns. Small, light green foliage.
Height: 5' to 12' (150 to 365cm). Width: 5' to 8' (150 to 245cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b. Very hardy. very vigorous. prefers cool sites..

Notes:
Parentage uncertain, please see References. Blooms of 'Mme Hardy' and 'Mme Plantier' are very similar. 'Mme Hardy' has upright, thorny canes, while 'Mme Plantier has arching, thin canes which are practically without prickles. Mary Frances Perrat became the Breeder's third wife in 1834.
