Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, 1916).
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Peach - pink, salmon-orange center, darker undertones.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Named after Aaron Raymond Ward (October 27, 1885 - August 26, 1887), fifth child of Rear Admiral and of Mrs. Aaron Ward, and the third who died in infancy.
