Bred by Charles Mallerin (France, before 1939).
Introduced in France by Meilland et Cie in 1939 as 'Dr. T. Allen Kirk'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1940 as 'Dr. Kirk'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange-red, coral shading.  Mild fragrance.  25 to 35 petals.  Large, very double, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
