Bred by Joseph Sauvageot (France, 1934).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1936 as 'Albert Maumené'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in before 1936 as 'Albert Maumené'.

Class:

Hybrid Hugonis, Pernetiana.

Bloom:

Orange-red, copper shading, red reverse, yellow veining. Strong fragrance. Large, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, cupped, globular bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large, pointed, ovoid buds.

Habit:

Bushy, lax, upright. Glossy, dark green, dense foliage.

Height: 2' to 32" (60 to 80cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Vigorous.
