Notes:
There are certain doubts that the Sanchette at l'Haÿ in 1998 was the original cultivar by Vibert - see references. It was not in Gravereaux's collection of 1902. It is no longer listed in L'Haÿ's collection. It was listed in Sangerhausen in 1936, but no longer in 1970.
Sanchette, is a little gardener girl in the Ballet "Les Deux Roses, ou une Fête d'Andalousie" by Victor-Claude Bartholomin (1799 Paris - May 13, 1859 Paris), first performed on November 16, 1838 in Lyon. In "La PRincesse de Navarre", an earlier Comedy-Ballet by Voltaire (1745), Sanchette is the daughter of Don Morillo, a country lord.
