The thorns on this rose are small, and not particularly numerous, but they do extend as far out as the bases of the pedicels. In other words it's prickly all over. Given its wide growth, this may be a consideration if planting it next to a path. It also makes deadheading a bit less convenient than some other roses.

It's a lovely thing though. Deliciously scented, and appears highly resistant to disease in my climate.

My young 'un just popped out a flower for the first time. Wonderful scent. Very rich and lush.

2 yr old plant in my garden is already 1.1m high and 2 m wide. I've planted it with Marjory Palmer, and they look lovely together.

According to the various literature and the raiser, this rose was discovered in 1990, introduced in 1993 and registered in 1999.

1996. Dianne Ackland “The Australian Rose Directory” 2nd Edition 1996:

Patricia, in addition to "the various literature", you can add, "and the raiser". The information is correct.
