'Vanilla Perfume' rose Description

Bloom:
Cream, apricot shading, lighter reverse. Strong, anise, spice, sweet fragrance. 30 to 35 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Medium, upright, well-branched. Medium, semi-glossy, dark green, dense foliage.
Height: 5' (150cm). Width: 42" (105cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Vigorous. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, susceptible to blackspot . Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Blooms last on the plant about five to six days... as a cut flower about right to nine days... At maturity, height is 5 feet and width is 31/2 feet... Resistant to mildew and rust; susceptible to blackspot under normal growing conditions...
Notes:
Vanilla Perfume makes a great cutflower. It has a long vase life.
