I have named these roses to right "Nordlandrosen", and even if it cannot be denied that this new group has still a lot to be wished for and its variety not yet attain the perfection of Hybrid Perpetuals, so it is to my great satisfaction, given the malicious attacks on my experiments which I had to endure silently, to be able to see that a number of my Nordlandrosen varieties can take it up with prized garden roses, yet also have the inestimable advantage to be resistant against wind and rain and need almost no culture.....
Nordlandrosen are divided into following subdivisions, namely:
a) once-blooming Nordlandrosen (Highland-Roses). Bloom double in several shades, endure - 30 degrees R. [- 37,5 °C];
b) repeat-blooming Nordlandrosen (High-Nordland Perpetuals). Bloom single and semi-double, only in pink and white, endure - 30 degrees R.;
c) repeat-blooming Nordlandrosen (Nordland Perpetuals). Bloom well double in several shades. Endure - 20 to -25 degrees R. [-25 to 31,5 °C].
