Bred by Mondial Roses (Belgium, before 1959).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1959 as 'Carmen Tessier'.

Crimson to carmine-red.  Mild fragrance.  Double (17-25 petals), open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.

Bushy.  Leathery foliage.
