Discovered by Andre Du Pont (circa 1805).
Class:
Centifolia.  
Bloom:
Pink. [Red.].  Fern-like or celery-like foliage.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Dark green, wavy or ruffled foliage.  3 to 12 leaflets.  

Height: up to 18" (up to 45cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
According to Thory, the foliage of this variety often reverted to the normal form, so that it had to be re-grafted from time-to-time to keep the characteristics.
