Breeder's notes:
The perfectly shaped blooms of dark velvety red of this continuous flowering Grandiflora/Hybrd Tea rose memorialize a dear friend, S.N Achanta, a Government service colleague who shared our passion for roses and was very knowledgeable about them. He took part in many roses shows held by the Rose Society of India, in New Delhi , where he lived as a bureaucrat in the federal government. Sadly, in 1985/6 when he was on his morning jog, he was mowed down by a speeding car which lost control. This was Viru’s tribute to a dear friend.
