Origin:

Bred by Isabella Preston (Canada, 1923).
Introduced in Canada by Agriculture Canada, Ottawa, Ontario (Central Experimental Farm) in 1932 as 'Huron'.

Class:

Shrub.

Bloom:

White and pink. Strong fragrance. Semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.

Habit:

Height: 30" (75cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 4b and warmer. Hardy.

Breeder's notes:

R. cinnamomea was crossed with a Scotch rose named Pythagoras, and two seedlings have been named: Huron has semi-double white faintly flushed flowers...
