Origin:
Bred by Peter Lambert (Germany, 1911).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1912 as 'Gräfin Marie Henriette Chotek'.
Class:
Hybrid Multiflora, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Crimson.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, very double, in large clusters, high-centered, rounded bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Bushy, climbing, upright.  Large, glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 6'7" to 9'10" (200 to 300cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Can be used for pillar.  Hardy.  vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The rose in gardens and commerce is not the original, except probably the rose at the Arboretum Borova Hora in Slovakia and Nell's Park in Trier. - see 'Marie Henriette Gräfin Chotek - in commerce'

Rogers Roses has a photo of Gräfin Marie Henriette Chotek described as “A hybrid Rosa multiflora Rambler introduced by Lambert in 1911. Mid red flowers, double with a moderate scent. Photographed at the Sangerhausen Rosarium Germany.”
