Origin:
Bred by Swales (Belgium, 1807). Introduced in France by Miellez in before 1826 as 'Reine des roses'.
Bloom:
Dark purple and crimson. Small, double (17-25 petals), rosette bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer. Small buds.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
