Origin:
Bred by Barbier Frères & Compagnie (France, before 1920).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Jacotte'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Wichurana, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Salmon-yellow, copper shading, red shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, cupped, open bloom form.  Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 6'7" to 13'1" (200 to 400cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
