Origin:
Bred by Jean Laffay (France, 1850).
Introduced in Australia by John J. Rule, Victoria Nursery in 1858 as 'Auguste Mie'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Light pink, silver(y) reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, semi-double to double, expanded , globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Rounded buds.  
Habit:
Light prickles.  3 to 5 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Reported to be similar to 'Mme Rivals' and 'Blanche de Beaulieu' - see References.
