Origin:

Bred by Dr. Friedrich Wilhelm Ruschpler (Germany, before 1854).
Introduced in France by Eugène Verdier fils aîne in 1856 as 'Dr. Ruschpler'.
Introduced in Australia by J. Graham & Co. in 1874 as 'Dr. Ruschpler'.

Class:

Hybrid Bourbon, Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Pink, darker center, lighter outer petals. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 3.5". Large, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, globular bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.

Habit:

Armed with thorns / prickles. Large, dark green foliage. 5 leaflets.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
