Crimson. Mild to strong, opinions vary fragrance. 100 to 110 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped, old-fashioned bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium, ovoid buds.
Habit:
Climbing, upright. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green, dense foliage.
Height: 7' to 15' (215 to 455cm). Width: 8' (245cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6a through 9b. Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape or pillar. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. heat tolerant. prefers full sun. produces decorative hips. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.

A Zone 4 grower reports that 3 of 4 plants of Red Eden did not survive their first winter. The same grower estimates this rose's hardiness as Zone 6.
