Bred by Georges Delbard (1905-1999) (France, 1997). Bred by Henri Delbard (France, 1997).
Introduced in United States by Heirloom Roses, Inc. (USA) as 'Dancing In The Dark'.
Introduced in France by Delbard/Georges Delbard SA in 2004 as 'Hommage à Barbara'.
Introduced in Australia by Delbard (Australia) in 2009 as 'Hommage à Barbara'.
Introduced in United States by Certified Nurseries in 2018 as 'Dancing In The Dark'.

Hybrid Tea, Shrub.   (Series: Couture Collection)  
Bloom:
Dark red, darker outer petals.  Intense deep red, developing to black..  None to mild fragrance.  Full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, fluted petals, formal bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, compact, rounded.  Medium, matte, medium green foliage.  

Height: 47" (120cm).  Width: 47" (120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very hardy.  heat tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

In 1997 Seed parent ‘Koreipark’ was crossed with pollen parent ‘Adharman’. The resultant seeds were harvested and sown in Jan 1998 ....In 1999 plant number was multiplied to 99, and so forth until numbers sufficient for commercial release in 2005 in France. Observations made over this period showed that ‘Delchifrou’ was genetically stable. No offtypes detected in May 1992.
First sold in France March 2005.
