Bred by Eugene S. Boerner (United States, 1948).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1948 as 'Lavender Pinocchio'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1953 as 'Lavender Pinocchio'.

Floribunda.  

Lavender.  Flowers lilac pink with an undertone of cappuccino brown.  Moderate fragrance.  28 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  

Medium, compact.  

Height: up to 4' (up to 120cm).  Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).

USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
