Bloom:
Purple, yellow stamens, ages to deep pink . Mild to strong, sweet fragrance. 5 petals. Average diameter 2". Medium to large, single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.
Habit:
Bushy, rounded, spreading, well-branched, no prickles. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.
Height: 36" to 4' (90 to 120cm). Width: 36" to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, garden, hedge, landscape, shrub or specimen. Can be grown as a shrub. flowers drop off cleanly. heat tolerant. shade tolerant. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection). Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit. Needs little care; relatively disease-free and quite hardy.
Breeder's notes:
One of the areas it's fun to explore in rose breeding is creating new breeding varieties. Both parents of this rose are highly fertile, and both possess very desirable traits. My intention was to create a mauve breeding rose, which, hopefully, would lead to improved mauve roses. After sharing it with friends who also pimp rose pollen, reports began filtering back that it was possibly good enough to introduce!
So far, it's been clean in the Southern California middle desert and the Pacific Northwest. The bush blooms nearly year round in my climate, and appears quite fertile. The single, mauve flowers develop into marble sized, yellow hips which show nicely against the medium green foliage.

Notes:
I've chosen to name this rose in honor of my eldest nephew and his musical ability, of whom, I am quite proud. Not that I'm prejudiced or anything!
