Deep pink. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 4". Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b and warmer. Hardy.

Notes:
Parentage is unsure, please see References. 'Mme Boll' was issued by Joseph Boyau in 1859, however attributed by H. P. Ellwanger in 1880 to Daniel Boll from USA. It is evident that Boyau knew the Bolls, as he issued 'Souvenir de Monsieur Boll' in 1866. Whether Boyau or Boll was the breeder is not fully resolved. Similar to 'Boïeldieu'. - see References. Mrs. Boll was the sister of Treasury commissioner William V. Leggett of New York.
