Cream, pink shading, pink edges, buff undertones. Moderate fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Notes:
Said to be similar to 'Mme Paul Marny' - see. 'Marie van Houtte' in commerce in Europe is often 'William R. Smith'. WRS is creamy white and shaded shell-pink at the centre (blanc crème, centre teinté rosé). MVH is yellowish white, edged pink (blanc jaunâtre liseré rose vif).
