Friedrich Wilhelm Nikolaus Karl (October 18, 1831 Potsdam - June 15, 1888 Potsdam) was the son of Kaiser Wilhelm I. of Germany. In 1858 he married Princess Royal Victoria of England (see 'Kronprinzessin Viktoria') He became Kaiser Friedrich III on March 9, 1888 on the death of his father. Unfortunately, he died alread 99 days later due to larnyx cancer and was succeeded by his son as Kaiser Wilhelm II.
