Bred by Dr. Eckart Haenchen (Germany, before 1972).
Introduced in Germany by Victor Teschendorff in 1972 as 'Blickfang'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange-red.  Dark tile-red.  None / no fragrance.  Average diameter 2.75".  Medium, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 20" to 28" (50 to 70cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
A number of East German roses seem to have been marketed in the UK under the Tesco label.
