Discovered by Essex (United Kingdom, 1807). Introduced in United Kingdom by Henry Shailer in 1807 as 'Red Moss'. Introduced in Australia by Camden Park in 1843 as 'Red Moss'.
Bloom:
Red. Single (4-8 petals) bloom form.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
According to research of Dr. Hurst, Single Red Moss was the parent of English hybrid moss roses bred 1835-60.
