Notes:
Discovered, collected, propagated by Mary Louise Harrington, at a 1920's era farmhouse, located in the San Fernando Valley. In 2007, the property is still owned by the sons of the original owners, who planted the first walnut grove in the area. The building is in bad condition, and may soon be demolished. There are probably three plants, growing in a row, at the "driveway" into the back yard. They've had no water or care for a long, long time, but are surviving well, despite drought conditions. When cared-for, in a garden, this rose recycles quickly, blooms singly and in clusters, is disease-free, and has a wonderful fragrance. This rose may be an exceptionally good clone of 'Snowbird.' Another possible identity is 'White Ensign.'
Planted in the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden, near to Snowbird, for study.
