Introduced in France by Julien-Alexandre Hardy / Roseraie du Luxembourg in before 1837 as 'Clara Silvain'.

Bloom:
White, light pink shading.  Strong fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
L'Haÿ's 1902 catalogue states Clary Sylvain as breeder of this rose. The synonym Lady Warrender os often used in later publications. This may be a distinct, but similar rose (see). It is Paul in 1848 who first states them as synonyms.
