Pariser Welt-Ausstellung ...July 1... Abgeschnittene Rosen waren in grosser Anzahl vorhanden, denn 8 Aussteller hatten dazu beigesteuert.

Translation:
Paris World Exhibition ...July 1... There were a large number of cut roses, as 8 exhibitors contributed to them. Here it was Margottin from Bourg-laReine who, like the previous time, had once again delivered the largest and most beautiful collection. Maréchal Niel was also seen here fully open, whereas, according to several lovers in France, this is otherwise never fully unfolded. The bright red Louise Margottin and the white Baron de Ménard shone in the most splendid beauty.

The Hybrid Perpetual Rose.
Rose-coloured and Pink.
Madame Guinoiseau, Louise Margottin, Madame Eugène Verdier, Madame Rousset, Madame Amélie Halphen, and Semiramis, are all fine first-class roses, and all well worthy of a place in a select rose garden...
Book  (1866)  Page(s) 192-3.

Louise Margottin is of a delicate, glossy rose-color, beautifully formed; and, though marked of moderate growth on foreign catalogues, it has grown with uncommon vigor here.

NB: Parkman groups this rose with the Hybrid Perpetuals, but it appears that the classification of this rose was debated.
