In the Class for Six New Roses..... not sent out previous to 1863-64.... Messrs. Paul & Son were second with Paul de la Meilleray, Lord Clyde, Princess Mary of Cambridge (in spite of some adverse criticism, this is a fine Rose)....

The United Horticultural Society.—This new society held their first show on Tuesday, the 11th inst., in the Albion Hall, Moorgate Street.....Messrs. Paul and Son, pot Roses and boxes of cut blooms, including among others their new Hybrid Perpetual, Princess Mary of Cambridge, which appeared to much greater advantage on this occasion than at the Regent's Park, the colour being pale rose and pink in the centre. It is prettiest when half expanded

Rose Princess Mary of Cambridge.- Raised by M. Granger from Duchess of Sutherland crossed with Jules Margottin; pale rose with bright centre. Messrs. Paul & Son, who have purchased the stock, state that it is remarkable for its hardy habit and good autumnal properties.—([Floral magazine], pl. 258.)

Royal Botanic Society. — The second spring Show was held on the 8th of last month [April], and as usual at the Regent's Park....Another new Rose, a Hybrid Perpetual, called Princess Mary of Cambridge, pale rose with a flush of pink in the centre, came from Messrs. Paul & Son, but not in a condition for its merits being positively decided on, as much better examples were shown a few days later.
