Bred by Thomas Cripps and Son (United Kingdom, circa 1880).
Class:
Group 3, Late, Small-flowered, Viticella Group.  
Bloom:
White.  Strong, hawthorn fragrance.  4 to 6 petals.  Average diameter 2".  Single, star-shaped bloom form.  Midsummer to early autumn.  
Habit:

Height: 10' to 13' (305 to 395cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 8b.  Best in a sunny location.  This plant blooms on the current season's growth.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
