Discovered by G.H. Potanin (Brazil, 1885).
Introduced by Ernest Wilson in 1911 as 'Potaninii'.
Class:
Group 3, Late, Small-flowered.  
Bloom:
White.  5 to 7 petals.  Average diameter 2.75".  Single bloom form.  Early summer to early autumn.  
Habit:

Height: 10' to 20' (305 to 610cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
