Ramon Bach, HT. (P. Dot, 1937) has more claims to quality in colour harmony, but the 35 to 40 petals faded to almost white in summer. Autumn colour, however, has been better.

New Roses 1939.  Ramon Bach (HT.  P. Dot 1937) A large, full flower, deep orange in the bud, slowly opening to brilliant golden-yellow, heavily shaded on the inside of the petals with a delightful peach colour, deepening to red-gold. Very fragrant. 4/-each.
Colour fades to almost white in Summer. 35-40 petals.

Ramon Bach (Dot).—One of Pedro Dot's most perfect Roses. A large full flower, deep orange in the bud, slowly opening to brilliant golden yellow heavily shaded on the inside of the petals with a delightful peach colour, deepening to red-gold. A most vivid and pleasing colour harmony. A very fine erect grower with long, strong stems, free and branching, bearing plenty of healthy dark green foliage.

Nouveautés 1937 ... Pedro DOT, à San Feliu de Llobregat (Espagne) Editeur : Henri GUILLOT, à Saint-Marcellin (Isère). 
R. Bach (P. DOT, obt.). - Très bel arbuste au feuillage vert sombre, sans maladie. Plante forte érigée, portant des fleurs amples et élégantes, bien doubles et turbinées sur de longs pédoncules. Le bouton est orange plus ou moins ocré. A l'épanouissement, la fleur présente des pétales lustrés à onglet jaune vif, l'intérieur est orange clair allant en s'éclaircissant vers le bord, le revers plus vif est or rouge. Ce coloris très solide, bicolore est aussi très pur. Une des meilleures roses de Dot.

Three others from Dot which did not seem important to me were Eduardo Toda, a fragrant flower of lemon white; F. Macia, light red, flushed orange, ageing orange pink; and Ramon Bach, with large flowers of coppery buff. While the flowers of these were fairly good, the plants, like so many of Dot's, black spot terribly and die back too easily.
