'Humei' peony Description

Class:
Herbaceous species, Hybrid lactiflora.
Bloom:
Rose-pink or light pink, silver(y) shading. Cinnamon fragrance. Mild to strong, spicy, sweet fragrance. Average diameter 9". Very large, double, bomb bloom form. Late.
Habit:
Height: 2' to 3' (60 to 90cm).

John C. Hovey mistakenly named and registered [as Francis B. Hayes] an unlabeled peony he had been given by John Richardson, thinking it was one of Richardson's seedlings. It was later identified as 'Humei'. See REFERENCES.
