Bred by Henry Shailer (United Kingdom, 1799).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Lee & Kennedy / Vineyard Nursery Hammersmith in 1802 as 'Gracilis'.

Bloom:
Rose-pink, lilac shading.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  
Habit:

Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Heat tolerant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Prune after flowering is finished.
