Origin:
Bred by Flon, père (France, 1837).
Introduced in Australia by Darling Nursery in 1851 as 'Charles X'.
Class:
Damask Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Pink to light pink.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, very double bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  Glandular sepals buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Large foliage.  5 leaflets.
