Bred by Victor Lemoine (France, 1896).
Class:
Hybrid lactiflora.  
Bloom:
Rose-pink, silver(y) highlights.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Large, double, rose bloom form.  Late midseason.  
Habit:
Tall, upright.  

Height: 31" to 39" (80 to 100cm).

Notes:
Different opinions on breeding year (see References). A peony 'Sarah Bernhardt' was introduced by Kelway in 1896. Lemoine's Version is usually dated 1906.
