Tall, upright.

Different opinions on breeding year (see References). A peony 'Sarah Bernhardt' was introduced by Kelway in 1896. Lemoine's Version is usually dated 1906. 'Umbellata rosea' seems to have been sold as 'Sarah Bernhardt' too.- see References.
