Bred by Jean Pernet (père) (France, 1878).
Introduced in Australia by Edwin Smith, Clifton Nursery in 1885 as 'Wilhelm Koelle'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red to cherry-red.  Large, semi-double to double, globular bloom form.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).
