Bred by Tim Hermann Kordes (Germany, 2001).
Introduced in South Africa by Ludwig's Roses in 2009 as 'Winter Sun'.
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 2010 as 'Winter Sun'.
Introduced in Australia by Treloar Roses in 2014 as 'Winter Sun'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.   (Series: Eleganza® Collection )  
Bloom:
Yellow, lighter outer petals.  Mild fragrance.  40 to 50 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Semi-glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.  7 leaflets.  

Height: 28" to 41" (70 to 105cm).  Width: up to 16" (up to 40cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.

The new variety of rose plant of the present invention originated from a controlled crossing in a breeding program of two distinct parents during the summer of 2001. The crossing was between an ‘un-named seedling’ and an ‘un-named seedling’.
