Medium pink Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Bewitched (hybrid tea, Lammerts, 1967) Exhibition name: Bewitched
Bloom:
Pink. Moderate, damask fragrance. 27 to 30 petals. Average diameter 5". Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered, nodding or "weak neck" bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, rounded. Large, glossy, medium green, holly-like foliage.
Height: up to 5' (up to 150cm). Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b. Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden. Vigorous. heat tolerant. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
Notes:
Treloar Roses says Bewitched is a good rose for a warm climate as it holds its color in mid-summer heat... Arena Rose Co.'s Catalog 2000 says blooms of Bewitched open as phlox pink and offer a rich Damask fragrance...
