Origin:
Bred by André Carl (United States, 2013).
Class:
Shrub.
Bloom:
Rose-pink, lavender undertones, deeper purple shading with cooler temperatures.  Moderate fragrance.  20 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, cupped, ruffled bloom form.  Prolific, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  Medium, long buds.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, dense, upright, well-branched.  Medium, semi-glossy, medium green, holly-like foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.
Growing:
Can be used for beds and borders, garden, landscape or shrub.  Vigorous.  drought resistant.  flowers drop off cleanly.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Breeder's notes:
I call this rose Paradox because I still can't come to a conclusion as to what the pollen parent was despite an actual readable label and records that indicate the cross was Winter Magic X Pink Princess. But I have still gone back and forth as to whether or not this was the case. The other pollen parent possibilities are Pink Pillar/Eternal Flame or Everblooming Pillar #83. All Brownell roses.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
First planted in the ground: July 2016
