Origin:
Bred by Robert Brown (Scotland, circa 1796).
Class:
Hybrid Spinosissima, Species Cross.  
Bloom:
Blush.  Red fruit.  Double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  
Habit:
Glossy foliage.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Possibly the name was transcribed incorrectly at some point, and the name was once 'Blush-free', as in pure white, with no pink tinges? 'Blush-tree' doesn't make sense.
