Blairii is a very a large blush, with a rose coloured edge; the petals are stiff and bold ; the buds and flowers are both magnificent ; it is an English rose, and said to be a seedling from the common Tea Rose.

R. i. ..Blairii ...in Swt. Brit. Fl. Gard. t. 405., and our fig. 613. - Raised in 1830, by Mr. Blair, from the seeds of the yellow China rose, which had been fecundated by the pollen of the Tuscan rose. A robust plant, remarkable for the size of its leaves and flowers. Petals purple, but yellow at the base, especially towards the centre of the flower. Fragrant, and a free flowerer.
