Origin:
Bred by Joan E. Richardson (United States, before 2016).
Class:
Shrub.  
Bloom:
Dark purple.  Strong, clove fragrance.  17 to 25 petals.  Average diameter 2".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small, rounded buds.  
Habit:
Short, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Small, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  

Height: 1' to 2' (30 to 60cm).  Width: 1' to 2' (30 to 60cm).
Growing:
Can be used for beds and borders or landscape.  Hardy.  vigorous.  drought resistant.  heat tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant, rust resistant.  
Breeder's notes:
Cool weather brings the deepest color blooms. The fragrance is very strong and the plant is totally thornless. Reveille is blown just before dawn. The darkest hours are just before dawn hence the name Reveille.
