Notes:
Arturo Tara, advises: “Souvenir de Babuña” is a found rose xdamascena brought around 1904/05 by Mrs Vidal's grandmother from Ukraine where it was considered a wild species rose, presumably growing there from Roman times. Her grandparents emigrated to the valley of the Rio Negro and homesteaded in a farm in the island of Choele Choel near the town of Pomona. Mrs Vidal found this rose growing in her ancestor's farm about 20 years ago and was able to collect a suckered root cutting from which she now multiplies it. (Babuña means Granny in Ukrainian).

Mariano Saviello states that this found rose has been ID'd as the damask 'Duc de Cambridge'.
