Notes:
“Jane Hoey”, by Julie Lack. Julie has said: I got it from an elderly man in Toowoomba, Queensland. The original belonged to his grandmother, Jane Hoey. He grew it from a sucker (or possibly a layered piece) off the original in her Forest Springs (via Allora, Queensland) garden."
INFLORESCENCE: single or in corymbs. RECEPTACLE: can have almost non-existent (flat) receptacles at times. COLOUR: Often Malmaison pink but can be paler, almost grey-pink. BLOOM: The centre is usually covered by in-folded petals. Can have a button eye. PRICKLES: Well-armed especially on watershoots. FOLIAGE: "Jane Hoey"has a wavy leaf and the outer edge often curls under, the serrations are much less conspicuous (than Catherine Mermet's photos). BUSH: The growth is rather sparse on young plants. HIPS: It does not set hips.
